The Georgian Apartment can be rented for short city breaks (minimum stay two nights) or for longer spells. Check in time is after 4pm and check out time is before 10am. More convenient check in/out times might be possible - check our Terms and Conditions. Rentals can start/finish wherever there is availability on the calendar to maximise flexibility for you.
The property consists of one double bedroom with en suite, a large drawing room fronting onto India Street, a large kitchen/dining room and another bathroom with shower off the hallway. There are 3 stone steps leading from the pavement to the private front door with a final step to enter the apartment itself.
The spectacular grand entrance hall features the original flagstone flooring and has wood panelled walls, it is furnished traditionally and has plenty of space to sit down, remove your shoes and put down those shopping bags!
The very large drawing room is packed with original features including the ornate plaster ceiling, sash windows with shutters and beautiful pitch pine floorboards. The décor is again very traditional yet comfortable with two stunning Chesterfield sofas, reclaimed elm wood furniture and a real effect gas stove which provides both an excellent source of warmth and a comforting centrepiece. Afternoon and evening sun floods the room bringing out the wonderful warm tones of all the natural wood.
The kitchen/dining room has a much more contemporary feel and features a state-of-the-art Porcelinosa kitchen including two drawer dishwashers, oven, ceramic hobs, fridge and microwave oven. A smart TV is cunningly disguised in a dresser and the sofa and dining table and chairs make this an ideal room for cooking and eating meals when not out enjoying the restaurants. Morning light through the large window makes this the perfect spot for breakfast.
The bedroom has a brand-new king-size bed with pocket sprung mattress. There is a built-in wardrobe and modern en-suite bathroom with a bath/shower unit and electrically operated blind for privacy. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and underfloor heating for the cooler months. Noise is never a problem in quiet India Street but the bedroom faces out the back of the property where there is no traffic or pavement, it also benefits from the beauty of the morning light.
There is a small store room opposite the kitchen which houses a freezer, the central heating and hot water controls and any cleaning products you may require.
An additional top of the range bathroom with shower lies off the hallway opposite the drawing room. This room also benefits from underfloor heating and a heated towel rail and houses a washing machine inside a cleverly concealed utility room.
Both showers have ceiling mounted rain shower heads and the en-suite bath also has an additional flexible shower attachment at tub level.

EPC rating – the property has an energy efficiency rating of C on it's most recent EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) valuation.
Connectivity – free unlimited WiFi is provided and there is a large screen smart TV with built in Freeview. Mobile phone coverage is excellent indoors and outdoors with 4G as the normal from most major networks.

We have a strict no smoking policy throughout the apartment.
Restrictions – unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets or children under the age of 10.
We follow industry standard guidelines as set out by the ASSC (Association of Scotland's Self Caterers) regarding our cleaning protocols including using only recommended products fully effective against COVID (Sars-CoV-2 virus).
Cleaning of surfaces is completed prior to disinfection and all windows are opened fully during this process to increase ventilation.
All bed linen, duvet covers, pillow cases, towels, tea towels etc. are bagged and laundered off site at recommended temperatures and times.
Hand sanitisers are in place in the property and there are cleaning products and disposable gloves available for use by guests.
