Accessibility at The Georgian Apartment

We wish to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and aim to describe our facilities in an accurate manner to allow you to book with confidence. If you have any questions please ask via our enquiry form.

Getting Here

India Street is not on a bus route and the 15-20 minute walk from either Waverley or Haymarket rail stations, or the tram stops on Princes Street, does involve going up and down a hill and crossing some cobbled streets. Taxis are plentiful in Edinburgh and we are only a 5 minute journey from these stations. Please refer to the Local Facilities page on the website for more travel information including parking.

General Access

There are three steps up from the pavement to the short level platform leading to the private front door and then a further step of 170mm to enter the apartment. There is level access to all rooms once inside the property apart from the hall W.C. which has a 35mm step up to enter. India Street is on an incline and is cobbled, there are sloped cobbled kerbs to gain access from the street to the pavement. The pavement and front door approach are well lit with streetlamps when dark.
